Love Across Borders: Taylor and Brett’s Journey
As a floral preservation artist, every bouquet I handle tells a unique story, but none quite as touching as Taylor and Brett's. Their journey, from serendipitous beginnings to cherished memories preserved in petals, showcases the lasting strength of love.
Taylor's journey with Brett began with a simple Facebook post—a friend's invitation to connect with Brett for a potential date. Despite living in Adelaide, Taylor felt compelled to reach out, drawn to the sweetness of the gesture. Little did she know, her message would spark a connection that would lead her to start a new chapter in Perth.
Their relationship blossomed through heartfelt conversations exchanged daily. Despite the distance, the connection between them felt so real and genuine. Eventually, Taylor took a leap of faith and travelled to Perth to meet Brett in person. From that moment on, they navigated through the ups and downs of a long-distance relationship.
“I have known Joanna for a few years and have always loved her work. I knew I wanted to get my bouquet preserved and framed by her before I was even engaged.” Taylor
In 2023, they tied the knot. Their wedding day was a vibrant celebration of their love, with Taylor's bouquet serving as a colourful centrepiece -and if you know Taylor, you wouldn’t expect anything but colours. Each flower spoke volumes about their journey together, and she knew she wanted to preserve those precious memories- she couldn't imagine entrusting anyone else with this task.
When Taylor first laid eyes on her preserved bouquet, I could see the anticipation and emotion in her eyes. Despite her initial worries about the flowers' condition post-transit, my dedication to my craft ensured they were brought back to life in the most breathtaking way possible. Seeing her reaction filled me with immense joy and gratitude.
Throughout the preservation process, my goal was to make Taylor's experience as seamless as possible. Despite the logistical challenges of their wedding location in Busselton, Taylor's preserved bouquet now proudly hangs in their home. As she gazes upon it, she is reminded of the love and happiness that surrounded their wedding day, as well as the journey that brought them to this moment.
Would I recommend bouquet preservation to other brides?
Without a doubt. For me, it's not just about preserving flowers; it's about capturing the essence of a moment and the emotions it evokes. Every preserved bouquet tells a story—a story of love, commitment, and the beauty of life's journey.
