Botanical Print on Silk Scarf and Pressed Flower Framing Workshop.
Price $240 per person
ABOUT THE WORKSHOP
Welcome to this unique 2 in 1 workshop presented by two local Perth artists, Annette Wiguna and Joanna Hiu (The Gallery J).
The workshop comprises two segments, beginning with an introduction to Botanical Printing on a Silk Satin Scarf, guided by Annette. Working with pre-treated silk satin and locally foraged botanicals, you will learn about leaf placement and composition, using blankets/barriers, and rolling and bundling techniques to achieve great definition and clarity in your prints.
While waiting for the silk bundles to steam, Joanna will share her expertise in floral composition. You’ll be able to choose from an array of exquisitely pressed flowers to design and assemble a stunning framed arrangement.
By the end of the workshop, you’ll take home your unique botanical-printed silk scarf and a framed floral masterpiece, ready to add a pop of colour to your wardrobe, room, or living space.
Price: $240 per person.
